Sofas in Broadway, in every fabric and frame
Two-seater to large corners. Velvet, leather, boucle, linen, woven, performance fabric. From Richmond Interiors, Hills Furniture, IFD, and our wider stock.

Sit on it before you buy it
A sofa is one of the few things in a house that everyone in the family will use every day, often for decades. The way it sits matters more than the way it photographs. Most regret over sofa purchases is about how it feels, not how it looks.
We have working examples of every fabric and frame across the showroom floor. Sit on each one. Test the depth, the firmness, the height of the back. Bring the cushion you want to keep, the throw you want to drape over it, the dog if you want to see how it'll look together. We're not in a rush.
Choosing the fabric
Velvet
Warm, slightly formal, holds colour brilliantly. Shows marks more than other fabrics but settles into a beautiful patina. Best in sitting rooms where it isn't the family's everyday lounging spot.
Linen
Natural, relaxed, soft. Wrinkles easily, which some people love and others can't live with. Best for country and farmhouse interiors.
Boucle
Tightly looped, textured, currently very popular. More forgiving than linen, softer than tweed. Best for contemporary schemes and family rooms.
Leather
Wears in rather than out. Aniline leather develops a patina over years. More forgiving of dogs and children than fabric. Best for studies, dens, and rooms with a more traditional feel.
Performance fabric
Engineered to be stain-resistant and hard-wearing. Looks and feels like regular upholstery. Best for households with young children, dogs, or both.
Woven and wool blends
The middle ground. Practical, characterful, ageing well. Best for everyday family use.
Choosing the frame
Frames come in three broad shapes.
Classic. Rolled arms, deep cushions, often a tufted back. Best in older houses and traditional schemes.
Contemporary. Lower profile, sharper lines, fewer cushions. Best in newer houses and open-plan spaces.
Sectional and corner. Larger format for big rooms, often configurable. Best for families and entertainment rooms.
