About the brand
Light & Living is a Dutch design house that covers the part of a room most people leave to last and then regret. Lamps, lampshades, ceramics, mirrors, candleholders, and the kind of small decorative pieces that turn a finished room into a warm one. We stock Light & Living because the lighting range is wide enough to suit anything from a low-beamed cottage sitting room to a high-ceilinged dining room, and the prices land where they should for everyday pieces rather than statement-only buys.

Why see lighting in person
Lighting is the single hardest thing in a room to buy from a website. The scale is almost never what you expect, the colour temperature reads differently in your own light, and the warmth a lamp throws into a room is something you only feel when the lamp is on in front of you.
Coming in to see Light & Living means we can switch the lamps on, hold a shade against the bulb you're using at home, and tell you whether a particular pendant will sit at the right height over your dining table. It also means you can see the ceramics next to fabric and furniture, which saves the awkward post-delivery realisation that the vase clashes with the cushions.
