Who we are
This website is operated by Canwell Interiors (Cotswolds) Limited, trading as Canwell Interiors. We are a company registered in England and Wales under company number 14547617. Our registered office is 65 Heath Croft Road, Sutton Coldfield, B75 6RN. Our showroom is at the Cotswold Design Centre, Kennel Lane, Broadway, WR12 7DJ. You can reach us on 01905 964994, Thursday to Monday, 10am to 4pm, or by email at broadway@canwellinteriors.com.
These terms apply to orders placed through this website. Please read them before you order. They do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer, and nothing in them limits any right you have under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
Your order
When you place an order you are offering to buy the goods on these terms. We accept your order, and a contract is formed, when we send you an order confirmation by email. If we cannot accept your order, for example because a piece has been discontinued by the maker or there is a pricing error, we will tell you and refund anything you have paid.
Most of our furniture is ordered in from the maker for you. The lead time shown on the product page, typically around three weeks, is our best estimate and we will keep you informed if it changes. Where a piece is made or cut to your measurements, such as curtains, blinds or carpet, we will confirm the measurements with you before work starts.
Prices and payment
All prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT at the current rate. Delivery is charged as shown at checkout and on our delivery and collection page. Payment is taken in full when you place your order. If we find a genuine pricing error before we accept your order, we will contact you and give you the choice of continuing at the correct price or cancelling for a full refund.
Delivery and collection
We deliver to addresses in the United Kingdom. Delivery is kerbside: the driver brings your order to the nearest safe point at your property and does not carry it indoors, unpack it or assemble it. We contact you to agree a delivery date once your order is ready. You can also collect free from our Broadway showroom. The goods are our responsibility until they are delivered to you or collected by you, and ownership passes to you once we have received payment in full. Full details are in our shipping policy.
Cancelling and returns
If you change your mind, you have 14 days from the day you receive your order to tell us you want to cancel, and a further 14 days to return the goods. You may handle the goods as you would in a shop, and we may reduce your refund if they show wear beyond that. Bringing goods back to the showroom is free. If you ask us to collect, the collection charge shown on the product page applies. We refund within 14 days of receiving the goods back, or of you showing us they have been sent.
The right to cancel does not apply to goods made to your specification or cut to your measurements. Furniture ordered from a standard range, even with a lead time, can be cancelled in the normal way. Our refund policy sets this out in full.
Faulty goods
We must supply goods that are of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If something is faulty you can reject it for a full refund within 30 days of delivery. After that we will repair or replace it, and if that does not resolve it you may be entitled to a price reduction or a refund. For the first six months after delivery it is for us to show that a fault was not present at delivery. If goods arrive damaged, tell us as soon as you reasonably can; reporting later does not remove your rights.
Product descriptions
We take care to describe and photograph our furniture accurately. Recycled teak, travertine, mortex and other natural materials vary in colour, grain and finish from piece to piece, and the piece you receive will differ from the photograph in those respects. Dimensions on the product page are the maker's and may vary by a small amount. Colours on screen depend on your device.
Our liability
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking this contract or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses, as we supply goods for private and domestic use only. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any matter that cannot be excluded by law.
Events outside our control
If delivery is delayed by something outside our reasonable control, such as a delay at the maker or with the carrier, we will tell you as soon as possible and agree a new date. If the delay is substantial you may cancel and receive a full refund for goods not yet delivered.
Your information
We use the personal information you give us to process your order and to contact you about it, as set out in our privacy policy.
Complaints
If something has gone wrong, call the showroom on 01905 964994 or email broadway@canwellinteriors.com and we will do our best to put it right. If we cannot resolve a dispute between us, Citizens Advice offers free guidance on your options.
General
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, except that if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may bring proceedings in your local courts. If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable the rest continues to apply. We may update these terms from time to time; the version in force when you place your order applies to that order.
